Received my Comfort insurance renewal this week & R.A.C. cover is included at an additional cost of £58 which with the very competitive quote is good value. There is no R.A.C. charge for policies still in force.

Doesn't really bother me as the van is still under warranty and includes FIAT assist breakdown cover in Europe, but it is misleading!

It was my understanding that Fiat Camping Assist only covers for mechanical breakdown so if for example you have an issue with a tyre or you get stuck somewhere or experience some other non mechanical breakdown you would not be covered.

Hi All

Fiat Camper Assist due change Tyres, cant think of anything habitation wise which would stop you travelling, or what any of the other assist companies cover which Fiat don't.

Best Regards

Interesting! I've read on another thread somewhere (possibly on another site) that Fiat Camper Assist refuse point blank to attend the roadside for tyres. It was for that reason I took out the Comfort policy. The reason stated was that the Camper Assist package related to warranty issues (ie mechanical breakdown) and there is no warranty for certain things especially punctures and other tyre issues.

Possibly the source of that information was incorrect but for the sake of a few pounds I wasn't prepared to take the chance.
