I don't profess to be able to advise on technical issues , but I can agree with Clive , icopter does it for me and the MD Bernhard is a true gent, I purchase my dish and package from him ,just before I left for France in June ,I installed it and all was fine until 2 days before I was due to leave for France , I was showing it to a friend and it would not lock on to the sat , I rang Bernhard and he diagnosed the problem and said he would post the replacement part I needed to my first stop off site in France , when I arrived on site and booking in a reception I was handed a package from icopter , within 30mins of setting up on site I had fitted the part and all was well , I would say that was great service

the ka sat (tooway) footprint is the largest of the domestic providers in europe at the moment. it covers ALL of europe, north africa and some of the middle east. and it uses a 80 cm dish not an 1.5 metre. up to 8 mb download speed for £25 a month and hardware costs of £100 i think it makes ipcopter and astra 2 connect (which i use) expensive in comparison. now just got to work out how to fit it to my oyster!!! my modified oyster vision using the astra 2 connect system has worked all the way down to mazzaron in spain but not on the costa del sol . i have had to put the bracket i made on a 1 metre dish on a tripod and it works fine . i think i will try the tooway system next as it has a much stronger signal even in the south of spain, all the best sean

You appear to missing one vital piece of the jigsaw!
Data volume.
iPcopter is unlimited. The other two are very severly limited.
We use about 0.5Gb per day.
That works out to an enormous sum using either Astra or Tooway.
A word of warning about Tooway. Check out their customer services. You may not wish to touch them with a barge pole!

hi patrick, for your £25 p/month you get 6 mb download speed and 8gb data allowance or for £36 you get 8 mg download and 16gb limit, not exactly severly limited!! although when/if you reach your limit it doesnt stop it just slows down.
with astra 2 connect i get 2 gb download a month and i never even come close to reaching that because like most users i have spoke to i am just using it for email , skype and general web surfing not running a business . .5 gb a day!! thats loads. i have been talking with a dutch company who install tooway now instead of astra 2 connect here in spain and they have had no problems with customer service. regards sean

I must admit it will be interesting to see how you get on with tooway.... as long as they work 24/7 on the help desk i would not mind swaping modems and giving them a punt.... as I use 2.0Mb/s full on all the time.... so will be watching with interest

Ok Sean... cool, I just need surport of the internet server etc going down at that minute, as people pay me for service provision.... (well sometimes) would be interested in tooway to see if is any good for my work.... looking at their foot print there are spot footprints within the main footprint, which might stop me working where ever i need to go.....

I contacted Tooway about their plan cos it looks good on paper.
Unfortunately they say that you need to sign up with a different agent for each company in Europe as it wasn't designed for motorhome use. The costs of this were significant so I didn't go ahead.
I don't know if they can tell if you sign up with one and then move to a different country.
I deleted the emails otherwise I would have posted the exact reply.

hi makems, that was your first mistake, giving them too much information!! Wink its easier for them to say "no you cant do that" to things they probably dont want to get involved in. i just buy the kit and use it as i want. its a satellite signal at the end of the day and if your in the footprint and can recieve a signal all is well. they dont know where you are and have no way of knowing. all the best sean
