Unclenorm is spot on with his description. The trick is to insulate the metal. You are not just trying to keep the cold out, you are also trying to stop the warm air from the inside hitting it. The carpet is a fantastic success as even when it it is really cold outside it feels warm to the touch, actually warm. The areas we used wood finish always feels cool.
We did get some condensation over the New Year when we stayed in her for 14 days. The original hard rubber trim around the body where the rear doors are attracted condensation as did the metal of the window trims and the front cab was bad
After looking again at your van, Im afraid yes I did price you a little high, apologies for that.
For us to spray your van again as detailed below, to 40mm, you would be looking @
Materials Application and Labour: £500.00 + VAT
I cant take it any lower than that, the van being brought to us saves little to nothing, purely as we still need to book 2 engineers on to the job, that are there for unable to carry out any other applications during the day.
If the price is too high for you, you may wish to look at DIY packs - Froth packs or something similar.
Thats a bit better... I reckon I should do a course on this stuff and just make a living doing peoples vans... Mmmmmm now theres an idea, that would get me into work and whats more, I could come to the customer and stay at theirs whilst doing the job. What do yall think??? Discounts for jobs done in the south of Spain
I've been advised to use a multilayer insulation B&Q seem to do a few so I went on a reccy thisafto.
Found some stuff on offer which looked quite the stuff, it was made up of 1 sheet ally foil, 1 sheet white bubble wrap, 1 shett 1/8" foam, 1 sheet white bubble wrap, 1 sheet ally foil, it was fairly robust so would be easy to spar adhesive onto it and/or the van walls.
It was called Airflex Global Superpose 15m2 roll Down from £149 to £99, not looked for other prices yet.
I'm not sure how effective is in comparison to other types of insulation, but it did look like good quality stuff, the packaging was open so I tried to separate the layers, but couldn't without tearing it.
Kev, I bought a roll of that Airflex last year, approx £100, as it's semi rigid, I chopped it up into window sizes, 2 to 3 layers taped together at the edges, Still have half a roll in the garage. It's equivalent to 75mm glassfibre.

______________________________________________________________ WARNING.!!... The above post may contain an opinion
“The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws.”
If you want to compare insulation qualities look at the 'U' values. The lower the 'U' value the more heat is retained.
Celotex might be perfect for floor as you can also create cable and pipe runs within (if it's thick enough) , plus you can put ply over the top.
[quote="Kev_n_Liz"]Still searching, but found this stuff, a bit steep but I think it would do the job quite well.
Any opinions.
Yes it's in the states, but it must be made somewhere.[/quote
I've been working on my van again today and have been using the foil backed bubble wrap which is stuck back to the bare metal, on top of this 25mm Xtratherm which is also has foil on both sides.
I have at the moment used Fire grade gun foam in the ribs which I will then cover with the bubble wrap and tape over any joints.
This should take care of any condensation problems.
The foil faced bubble wrap is around £20 a roll in places like B & Q but £5 at Hemswell Market.
Also the 25mm Cellotex was under £10 for a 8 x 4 ft sheet from the builders merchants but I noticed today that it was £20 a sheet at B & Q.
