So there I was, having no end of issues trying to site my fill point when I noticed that the join where the braiding meets the crimp on the shaft is very loose. But only one end.
Not a definitive answer as I am NOT an expert on such things, but a couple of things come to my (simple) mind;
a) give Gaslow a ring - they are VERY helpful and will give you an instant answer I am sure, and the horse's mouth is by far the best reassurance......
b) is it possible that it is 'O' ring sealed? If so there can be movement while it is not under pressure and it will tighten when pressure is applied by use.
As I say, not a definitive YES / NO answer, but those would be my thoughts until someone else confirmed one way or another....
I believe the outer braid is purely mechanical protection and the inner is convoluted(which gives it its flexibility) stainless steel pipe. Should be OK IMHO
From memory I'm sure one of the bottle connection hoses of my existing ones does but it's not a leak issue just imperfect (quality control/inspection) failure again.
Should not be leaving the factory like that! just like my bottle with loose supply valve WTF?
I have just fitted my 5th gaslow system in my new van. One end was just like yours. I sprayed it with the gas leak spray and then checked it with the brush and foamy washing up liquid. Result ...... no leak. It would appear to be alright. but a phone call to gaslow may set your mind at rest.
