The turkey roasting bag was a great success. We had a lovely, moist bird with a crisp brown skin. It cooked far more quickly than usual, there was plenty of lovely juice for gravy and the oven and roasting tray were clean and fat free. We didn't follow the advice on the bag exactly as we put the butter and streaky bacon on right at the beginning rather than wrestle with the thing when hot and do it later as advised.

We're converts ! Thanks again to all for advice.
