BB's solution doesn't work for me. I need to go via Tools, Options and General.

Clicking the Orange Button didn't pull my cracker at all.

The updates window tells me that it needs to restart, in order to install the updates.
Ignore it and click the dialogue box that says you will restart later. Then when you have finished browsing or doing anything else you want on your PC, just shut it down in the normal way - but not a forced shutdown. The updates will then install automatically during shutdown without you having been inconvenienced.

The latest Firefox update is 9, not 8.

Unfortunately, I have to agree.
The process as followed, didn't work for me either. Sorry BB.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Smile
