I understand that Gaslow describe their system as tanks not bottles so if it is perminently fitted to the vehicle it should satisfy the requirements of the quoted standard sent by Calor Gas to Earnyboy. John
Not that it matters John but it was not I who pursued the matter. I would not have done that as I was worried (and said so earlier in this thread) that it might result in something like a risk assessment based refusal from Calor ending up in the public domain for all to see.
I make no comment on the factual accuracy of the statement from Calor, Alan.
I went to the Ayr Calor Gas depot in January and, as MyGalSal reported, they will not allow you to fill up unless the gas is for vehicle propulsion.
They are not interested whether you have Gaslow, with an external filler, or not.
There are two place at Kilmarnock where gas can easily be obtained and not far from Ayr.
One is on an industrial estate as you enter from the south, Tom Palmer's and in MHF LPG database.
The second is in the town centre and is a petrol station with an Autogas pump, Campbell Fuel oils (Jet Garage), Hurlford Road. I've submitted this for inclusion on the LPG database.
