This always provokes an argument / discussion at our house.

I say clotted cream first followed by jam. You wouldn't spread the jam before butter in a sandwich after all.

My wife Sue always says the jam should go on before the cream because it tastes better, her words not mine.

As I've done the reply my vote goes for cream first then jam, it's the only way really.
