Sorry have been a bit busy and I missed this topic when on last time. Yes I did get an answer from ADAC and yes they do cover Accident as well with repatriataion. I cannot understand why some have been refused there must be an underlying story not been quoted. The Office I contact are very good and speak excellent English.

Is there possibly a difference between normal Membership and ADAC Plus. I have the Plus which includes it.

Maybe somebody with the standard cover could tell us whether it covers repatriation.

I understood that standard membership was not available except for German residents.

You are right the standard cover would not cover UK citizens for anything.

It is a mystery to me.

Does anyone have a link to English docs for ADAC? Or a contact email?

I had previously written to Stefanie who was very helpful but apparently she doesn't work there any more - or maybe she's changed her name/email?

I tried translating the German docs using Google translate but it's a long, long process and not great results.

Thanks.

Our experience with them last year would appear to contradict your information.
We have the "plus" cover and ADAC would not entertain the idea of repatriating us or our vehicle back to the UK. There was no "underlying" story other than them offering us 200 euros towards the recovery bill which was in excess of 2000 euros and that was just to get us off the motorway aire to the recovery yard.

Did you arrange the recovery yourself or through ADAC?
