Hello,

We are in Spain, Valencia region. Normally, the Oyster finds Astra 2 no problem, with few channels via dream or SKY Digibox.

We cannot get a signal automatically.

The other day I managed to get Astra 1 and lots of German Channels, plus SKY news, BBC World etc by turning the dish left to right (Azimuth) in Manual Search.

Since then, the dish has been moved and we have lost Astra 1.

So to the question.......

How do you get the Oyster to manually adjust the elevation please?

Is/Are there any othe h/v settings I need to change in the boxes?

TM

PS: sorry for the delay in responding to PM's. Not had any internet until today.

Might be the same problem a lot of Oyster users had which was due to the broadcaters changing their settings and the Oyster could no longer find the satellite. This happened to me in France in September so I contacted Ten Haft UK who talked me through resetting the control box. Call +44 1858 575 928.

Before I called them I did manage to get a fix on the Astra 28 a couple of times by getting the Oyster to auto search for Astra 19 then turning it manually.

Which ten haaft unit do you have? If it's the vision it's a real pain the digital is very easy just go to the menu that you can see on the tv.... I assume the dish was working on the way down to Spain?

Ok fine so the system is updated ok if it has worked ok, so the simple thing is just to make sure you have good sight of the south east.. It could well need a little adjustment to the lnb should be set around 15 degrees from vertical..... May be teaching granny to suck eggs..... The auto lock frequency has changed and now has a lower signal level so that may just be an issue.... The sque angle will come into effect the weeker the signal level so when adjusted would help you out a lot.... Sorry can't help any more from here.... Just enjoy the heat which we don't have here Rolling Eyes
