Welcome to the fold.
Yes motorhomes are addictive, we have been doing it since 1972.

Lots to consider including
Having set up camp for a few days How do I get around the locality?
Push bikes, full size or folding, Scooter, Motorbike, walk, bus, towcar ???

How much "wild" camping do we want to do, that is camping without any mains hookup? Have you sufficient battery capacity for your needs?

Have we a space each for HIM and HER? (Important for us to have our own corner)

Is the cooking equipment adequate for your aspirations?

Is the fridge/ Freezer big enough?

Beds, do I need a permanently made up bed or am I happy to convert some seating to bed each evening?

Is the engine big enough?

Do you know the actual payload your chosen vehicle has?

Have I a preferance for rear wheel drive or front wheel drive? (More grip with rear wheel drive as 2/3 of the weight is there)

Yes come to a show or two first is a very good idea, Peterborough will be good.

C.
