apparently cdd is beter than cmos for sharpness of picture and then its wether or not you want or need 2 camera s and so far all ive turned up is this but the camera needs a colour change to white
From our experience there are a couple of points I would make;
1. go for wired not wireless although harder to put in the wired gives a much more reliable image, the wirless is prone to intereference and the signal breaks up,
2. have one fitted high on the back - ours is at number plate level and very limited in what it can see,
3. night vision capability is useful,
4. have as large a screen as you can accommodate - a small screen is about as much use as a cat flap on a submarine,
5. sound can help communication if someone is seeing you reverse, it can also give you warnings of ankle biters in the vicinity
6. go for a reputable make; Camos and Waeco have good reviews
Have a look on ODB - they have a good selection and if you are in the area can fit them too I think,
I would be aware of such items - it is way below normal prices and the fact that they have "what to do if it doesn't work" so prominently and they take a while before refunds would raise alarm bells for me.

with reversing cameras its a case of Caveat Emptor, you pays your money and takes your chance.
The market is flooded with cheap chinese kit, 2mins warranty etc but dirt cheap
However you also have to watch out for kits like the one linked above on ebay, "5m video cable for long vehicle bus and truck", now for instance compare this to http://www.outdoorbits.com/waeco-perfectview-rvs-750-reversing-camera-silver-p-2037.html which has a 20m cable. Now think how far the cable run will be from your camera to the screen, based on experience of fitting them here 5m won't get you past 1/2 way on most vans as the cabling route (to get a nice tidy professionally fitted hidden finish) can be circuitous to say the least Copper is expensive nowadays and so this is where some of the extra money goes on motorhome specific kit from quality brands like Dometic plus of course support / parts a few years down the line

it might have re directed because i was using a ebay signed in link off my watch list ???
seems the extra length cable is well less than a tenner but i was hoping for a 5 m cable and a joint coupling so i could plug it into the tv and spy at night
