Be careful when using iCloud with Photostream activated. One of the guys was at a night out at the weekend and during the evening a young nice lady was dancing so thought he would capture it on his nice new iphone.

Of course within 30 seconds of taking the picture it arrived on his ipad and to his horror his wifes iphone who was sitting at home back in the UK

It is turning out to be an expensive night out for him Rolling Eyes Laughing Laughing

Update

You wont believe this but I went on a job today that was at the customers house near where I live where I got my iPhone from. I mentioned that the stupid phone still thought it belonged to the computer that it was originally Synced to that once upon a time was in this guys office.

I assumed (That word again!) that he would have long since binned it as it was FUBARed (google it) three years ago. Being the horder he is I discovered it was still in his room 101 shed at the bottom of the garden next to the river. It was flooded a few weeks ago when the river burst its banks but I managed to get the hard drive out of it, into a USB caddy which I then connected to my machine and it worked!!!!!

An hour later I had all the songs off it onto my laptop and into iTunes.

Updated the OS no bother, backed up and restored my Apps then synced the music and it flipping well worked!!!!

The only downside and the main reason for the upgrade is that the Wireless Hotspot feature is still not available. A quick Google tells me its only available for the iPhone 4!

Bugger.

Oh well at least I can add new music now!!!!!

Cheers for all the advice but I still think iTunes is pants!

But if you have an iPhone 3g, you can connect by Bluetooth instead, which will work with laptops etc.

Works like this

3g signal in -> iPhone -> Blutooth out -> Laptop

Thanks but sadly my Acer Timeline does not appear to have Bluetooth!

So it looks like its either wifi or swapping the sim into an old Nokia.

Bah!

You can buy a Bluetooth dongle like

This one from Maplin for £15

No doubt cheaper ones are available on eBay or elsewhere
