Hi,
Today I braved the cold and washed & waxed our MH, I noticed on the drivers side lamp a dead fly in there, (it does not affect the operation) it looks unsightly and bothers me. The question is how easy to get it out or should i just put up with it. Fiat X250.

Thanks

It is easy to remove the headlamp. Lift the bonnet and just by the headlamp there is a plastic filler plate (white) that is above the headlamp, that is held in by 2 large x point screws/bolts. Undo those and remove the plate, the end near the pillar is held in with a spring clip, just prize it up gently. There is also another plastic trim under the headlamp that is also held in with scres/bolts and spring clips. Remove that then you can see the 3 bolts holding the head lam pin place undo those, take the headlamp bulb and holder out and jiggle around until the fly drops out. Then just reverse the process.

Some of the images in this link http://www.deepredmotorhome.com/headlampdeflectors.html illustrate removing the upper 'filler plate'and the 'plastic trim under the headlight'.

The photo sequence actually depicts how to fit headlight deflectors, but might help interpret much of what DJP has described.

Oh, and I've got exactly the same problem on my car - a Citroen C5, so I know exactly what you mean about it being frustrating. I've managed to live with it until now, but it annoys me every time I wash the car Crying or Very sad

Not being an expert on your make and model!
If it was mine before I started removing screws and seals etc.
Try and rig up a flex hose on your vacuum cleaner, perhaps use duck tape until you get a smaller hose. Remove the bulb and see if you can hoover it out.
If it does work you haven't spent that much time on it. Just a thought hope it helps

Try removing the light bulb itself & use a length of wire with a bit of sellotape fixed to it fed into the unit to get hold of the fly !
