Hi
Just visited Vanbitz and noticed a New Pioneer product 'AppRadio' which works with IPhone and soon, other smart phones.
Being an Apple addict, I just had to have this new invention and what a fantastic piece of kit it is!!!!
The directions and graphics are the best I have seen on any device and one can designate whether one is walking, driving a truck or car etc.
Many thanks again to Vanbitz and particularly to James who was so patient in explaining all the details.
I have no association with Vanbitz other than being a loyal customer, but would strongly recommend this product.
Regards
Alshymer

I too was impressed with it but disappointed that it can't take an Ipod for when you have arrived on site so went off my list.
Cost was around £250.
You also could not put the Iphone in a glove box as you needed it to enter some info on the screen. They may have updated the app now as it has been around for a little while.

Retails at £399

Works with iPod

Plug the iPhone in, touch AppRadio Icon, put in glove box out of way and out of sight, everything else done on the touch screen Pioneer unit.

Think your thinking about some thing else Pete Wink

Glad you like it Aslhymer

Eddie

Look if cost was an issue, we have caravans! They "do" the same!

Apple is King and taking over the world!

I too railed against Apple and put forward cheaper suitable alternatives to my Apple loving friends Embarassed Then I bought my iPod and then iPhone, and iPad, and Apple TV and Airport Express and well you get the picture!

If they did a version with an inbuilt DVD player, AV inputs and Android support I'd be interested. Until then, sorry, no use to me. Not a bad price, but then again I guess the box is pretty empty if it's a double DIN with no CD/DVD.

I first had an iPod Touch and thought it was wonderful, a real 'magic lantern.

Then I got a Samsung Galaxy S2 and couldn't believe just how slick it was and, more importantly, easy and user friendly.

But the two systems will never agree as they are too busy nicking bits off each other! Laughing .
With a bit of luck we'll finish up with Apploid or Andrapple. Laughing

I think I remember DVD's what is a CD? Laughing there is loads of equipment out there that does lots, I personally got fed up with never having the media or format with me that I wanted (normally my Children having helped themselves, leaving me with an empty case!

So for the last couple of years, everything, music, films, photos is on my iPhone/Pad so I simply need a good screen to plug it in! I am far from alone judging by the number of App Radios we are getting through!

No same product, cost has gone up a bit from when i looked £280 now. Halfords are selling it for £299 thats how I know it didnt work with an Ipod it does work with an Ipod touch but then that's not an Ipod. Maybe it does now. Wink

I do think that it still doesn't allow you to switch between your apps from the in built screen you still have to use your Iphone so sticking it away is not a real option.
