I am thinking of towing an Aygo on a Brian James 150-100 Micro-max trailer
Can anyone tell me what the nose weight range would be with a 1.0L petrol Aygo/C1/107
I know moving the car backwards and forward slightly on the trailer bed will make a difference
With the trailer @ 300kg and Aygo @ 800kg total 1100kg
therefore recommended nose weight of 7% would be 77kg
Bottomline....is 77kg achievable with front engined car on single axle trailer

I even pointed out they had a picture of a107 in their brochure but he said they hadn't any figures....

You would have had the same conversation I had, they don't know, it can't be done with that trailer, the best I got was around 130kgs and that was with the rear wheels almost hanging off the rear of the trailer.
It is really easy to do if you reverse it on.
They need to move the wheels forward around 600mm. I'm sure the design is based on a smart trailer which is of course rear engined.
I have been down this route and ended up using a A frame due the weights being right on the limit,I contacted Autotrail and Fiat my gross train weight from my 2008 Autotrail Cheynne 660 is 5050 kg and my maximum trailer weight is 1050kg due the rear overhang.
Apache 632/4 gross train weight 4770 kg, max trailer weight 1120 kg and 700 gross train weight 5300, max trailer weight 1050 kg, you will also need to take in consideration the weight imposed on you back axle, especially with that large overhang.
Is the micro max the two wheel trailer?... I have the minno max four wheel trailer and just drive the car on and do not bother worrying about the nose weight as the four wheels take the load even..
I have a tale to tell about my trailer but it will have to keep until I am back in the UK in April and I can get on my home wifi..
