Hi There, anyone knows how the "lane change" operation of the indicators on the X250 can be disabled. Is it a special indicator relay? (that could be changed for a normal one) or part of the hard wiring of the van or CPU. Unless it is a legal requirement, I don't want advice on the desirability or otherwise of my wish to remove the function, only how to do it.

If they are the same thing that is fitted to mine,when you flip the blinker switch,they blink three times,left or right depending.
At first i thought it a curse,but now having got used to it,i think its a plus,you can?(In order of preference ,or maybe not ),mirror,manouver..... like i said,"Or not",once having flicked the switch,on moving from the first to second lane on a three lane highway,you do not have to concern yourself about confusing.com,drivers in the third lane as to your intentions as the winker goes off.
Thats my take on it,hope this helps.

Mine give five clicks, so two up on yours Gearjammer!! (Possibly a difference between Fiat and Peugeot?)
I found them a real pain in the backside at first, because I hadn't come across them before and didn't know how they were activated. I must have had curses galore from following motorists as I tried to cancel the damn things, and succeeded only in giving five more flashes in the other direction!!
Now I know, and have got used to them I find them quite useful, but Trvor is right. Moving the stalk past the click, as you would do anyway with "normal" indicators, disables them automatically.
We have an X2/50 but I was not aware of the function that you mention. If I wish to indicate briefly, I hold the indicator stalk loosely, so as not to click it. When I'm done, I just release the stalk. I'm not aware of any extra flashes after the release.
