As far as I am aware the only motorhome insurer to cover Bosnia fully comp (as well as Albania) is Saga which may or may not be suitable for you depending on your age!
Andy uses them and has done the trip - you might find his blog useful here: http://pippins.me.uk/
Not that I could find 2 years ago - you can buy "insurance" at some of the Border crossings going deeper into Bosnia.
The Bosnian part of the Adriatic coastline (the only bit of coast the Bosnians got post war and they aren't very happy about it) is only a few kms long and the Border guards don't ask for insurance there.
Check out google maps - it doesn't even show a road and our sat nav just stopped!
Just speak to your insurers and pay the additional premium
When I went to Greece on the Harley a couple of years ago through all the coastal countries from Austria/Slovenia/Croatia etc (incluing Albania ) there was no problem (apart from the (lack of) roads) but - you do need to have international driver's licence, V5, MOT and Ins Green Card
Have a great trip in the less explored regions of "Europe"

Unfortunately, at least for motorhome insurance, it's not that simple. We called 15 of the main ones trying to get cover for Albania, Bosnia, Montenegro etc and none of them would even provide the minimum level of cover (Third Party / Liability Only).
I'm yet to find one, other than Saga which for age reasons won't cover me, that will cover any of the Balkans.
Thanks very much for this. I am old enough for Saga! However, I've just tried and they won't insure out of the European Union. Thanks anyway. I think it may be possible to go round via an island to get to Dubrovnik?

Thanks for this but insurers don't seem to want to know about anything outside the European Union. Think it may be possible to go round by crossing a bridge to an island but need to check.
Unfortunately they won't cover our next trip, carrying on from Dubrovnik through Montenegro, Albania & Macedonia to Bulgaria. However, I have found That Caravanguard will cover M, A, & M (& Serbia) for extra cost, £26 for 2 weeks.
We have always found Saga very helpful, and competitively priced.
