Try www.ukcampsite.co.uk
They list CL's as well but give user feedback that we have found very useful. There is for example a good site near Rock (north coast), Higher Penmayne Farm, not right on the beach but a shortish walk away. Open all year, showers and it's in yuppy land. The houses near the water are over the £1m mark.
If the Caravan Club gave reviews then I would be tempted a lot more.
Also try the National Trust, they have a site at Lansallos (south coast), no electric but right on the beach. Bit remote and tight if you have a big vehicle.
Very Happy

Invest another £35 (or whatever) and join the Camping and Caravanning Club [send me a PM and I'll let you use my details to earn me a £5 recruiting reward Very Happy ]

They run several Temporary Holiday Sites in Cornwall (plus many more in other counties, usually much cheaper) every year - you just turn up (98% of the time) and they let you onto a low-facility site [water, chemical disposal] for about £10-15pn. Having said that, Birmingham DA have been using a full facility site [showers, swimming pool, bar, entertainment] at Harlyn Bay, St Merryn for many years - 6July-6Sept this year at £16.50 or £19.50 with sea view. Our kids loved it and there are plenty of good walks/rides to a variety of bays. We first went with the trailer tent but have been back 3 times with MH, just "dropping in" as we fancy.

Hope the weather is good for you - Gordon

We can recommend Skewes Farm CL on the Lizard, 1/2 mile walk to bus stop. Bus goes to Lizard via Mullion and Poldhu one way and Helston the other way.

Also try Treveague farm independent site, they certainly take one night bookings in September so maybe summer too.

try killiwerris site, Chacewater near Truro always found them to be accommodating, plus they have a spare pitch near the gate not fantastic but can fit a smallish van on there, ask for Steve
