In other words no hard drive on which to record, but in the main blurb Avtex mention PVR but in the small print say not included.

I t could mean just that, no hard drive but the facility, including software for recording is available.

I have one of >these<

I haven't had any problem with it yet but not tried recording with it. You can certainly get info on each program.

I live in a fairly dead TV zone so have to wait until I make a trip to fully test it. Trees prevent good satellite reception and you need a very good aerial set up for terrestrial reception.

We just got one and it's fantastic, no boxes no wires hanging, you can record onto memory stick. We had to get a 4 pin din plug from ebay £3.99 as our tv bracket is all wired in and drops from ceiling. Avtex couldn't help and when you consider how much it is that's not very happy. Got ours from Martins in Exeter

Is the inbuilt satellite receiver a free to air? If so can you re-tune to south beam as you must on a Sky Box when in the south of Spain.

I think the memory stick has replaced the built in hard drive, but I could be wrong

I have little idea of what I am talking about when it comes to memory sticks. Does an ordinary memory stick work for recording, or would I need to buy something special.
