Just had a letter from VOSA informing me of a recall to possibly replace the spare wheel fixing. This came to their notice last July but I have only very recently read about it in one of the club mags. Strangely enough last night I had written a reminder to myself to check it today

Anyone had theirs done yet?

My 2008 boxer being done on Monday apparently it's got to have a whole new spare wheel carrier

I have an autocruise tempo 2010 and not heard anything, but a friend of mine with a 2009 Peugeot has received notification. Should I look into?

I had one a few months ago but ignored it because my Autocruise Starburst is on a Alco chassis so I assumed it didn't have a boxer spare wheel fixing.
But today I had another recall letter so I rang my local Peugeot dealer, who is also a Motorhome dealer, and he said I would need do bring it in so they could confirm whether or not it needed doing, otherwise I'd keep getting the letters.
So I've booked an appointment.

I took our 09 AS Broadway in about a month ago but work was not required. I think it depends what modifications have been done by converter.

Hi there, my 09 Bolero was done in December last. New carrier mechanism fitted with a new winder mechanism fitted which included a new winder. Only down point is the winder access is just behind the rear wheel on the offside. Methinks no changing of spare wheel by me on a UK motorway!! Have to hope if it ever happens, it happens in Europe.

Job done on my van by Dealer in 2 hours quoted. Just enough time for a very nice breakfast.

All the best, Gary

It seems that Peugeot have extended the vin range for the spare wheel carrier and new recalls are being issued for vehicles that were first registered in 2009.
