Hee hee..... well I feel a heck of a lot better now knowing I am not the only one! My baby is now 30yrs old and I have been racked with flipping guilt all these years thinking I bet no other mum would have been so careless and now, at 56yrs young, I discover the world is fraught with hundreds of us!
Jeez and I thought I was forgetful when as a new mum I once started to walk home from our local village shop; got about 100 yards and suddenly; to my absolute horror; I realised I had left my new baby daughter outside the shop in her pram!
Sue
You are not alone Sue, I still shiver when I remember when I did it and it was 40 years ago!
Bob
Me too, but I didn't realise until I met a neighbour who asked where the baby was I had left him inside the shop though and he was being entertained by the postmistress.
I also once reported my Honda Civic stolen from Ikea and then spotted hubby's CRV. I'd forgotten we'd swapped for the day

Well I once came out of the butchers and climbed into the wrong car! I thought it was a bit odd that I hadn't locked the door but I just assumed that I must have forgotten to zap it. Anyway, I went to start the engine and just couldn't fathom out why the key wouldn't fit into the ignition! It wasn't until I glanced around the interior that I realised this wasn't my car! Panic struck at the thoughts of being in someone elses car, I nervously looked up to spy a startled looking woman standing in the queue of a take-away pizza shop that this car was parked right outside of. The woman was staring out at me with a look of sheer disbelief on her face and she was clearly gobsmaked to see this female stranger sitting in her driving seat! She gawped open mouthed at me and me at her and we both looked mortified! I quickly jumped out of the car and through the glass window of the pizza shop I attempted to explain by frantic mime and gestures that I'd mistakingly climbed into the wrong car, however by the look on her face, she obviously thought I'd escaped from the local hospital for the mentally challenged! I smiled apologetically and walked towards my own car that was parked 2 spaces in front and was embarassed to have to admit to myself that it wasn't even the same colour as the car I'd just tried to hijack!
