Thetford say it is the pcb which needs replacing, now the interesting bit.
My Thetford model N145 was built with either a Green or a White pcb board. After 2004 they all were built with Green ones.
If it was built with a white one then the fridge/freezer cannot be repaired and needs to scrapped. Thetford said the company which manufactured the white pcb's went bust and no one else could make them.
Up until 2004 both pcb's were used and there is no way of knowing which one you have without looking, ie in my case removing the complete unit. Just my bleeding luck isn't it that it will be a white one as its a 2004 van.
Hopefully we can get this sorted under warranty, fingers and owt else crossed.
Thetford will supply a cheaper brand new unit to anybody affected they say as it cannot be repaired if it has a white pcb.

Yes its in the lap of the gods isn't it, 50/50 chance I suppose, church for me on sunday. I looked online and they sell for around £1100/£1200/£1300
But I suppose its good of them to supply cheaper units to those affected as they didn't have to do it, nice gesture of goodwill, just hope the gesture will not be required.
