Pop into your local farmers merchant and have a look at the products they have by far the cheapest way i have found to buy iy.

currently using "OKO" very similar to "slime" in my motorcycle and bicycle tubes.

an example from my local merchant

No slime needed, i just use Continental sports contact tyres. Did 4.5k on my last set of these tyres until I got a puncture. By then though the tyres were shot and a piece of glass managed to winkle it's way into a slice in the tyre that was already there. The tyres are THESE - Brilliant things.

Steve

ps these tyres are nearly slick but with very good handling, even in the wet.

I did consider slime when I was picking up a few punctures last year. Eventually, I just went for a slightly tougher tyre (with a kevlar band). Apart from a slash from a particularly nasty piece of flint (I don't think slime would have helped with that one) I've had no problems since.

Just bear in mind outside temperatures.

I've had huge problems trying to repair a puncture with ANY solution when the outside temp has been below freezing - as predicted over the next few days..!

Pack it with grass and take it easy Smile

Richie..

I got the reinforced tyres and done 4800 miles and no punctures but had to renew them as there was no tread left.
