You know some tools have the handles dipped in some placky stuff to coat the handles with plastic, also the wire shelves in fridges have had the same done to them.
Now we know what I'm on about,. I'm making/modifying some wire shelves for my diy fridge and now wish to coat the bare bits of steel, has anyone got any ideas on where to get the stuff or an alternative method?
I remember at school (30+ years ago) we could take tools in to have the handles coated as above. I think that was a powder which you warmed up, but tooooo long ago to truly remember how it was done.
Thanks to anyone who can help.

Hi Steve - So your not Omniscient
What you were thinking of was a flotation tank with air creating a 'liquid' plastic powder - dont ask me what exactly. You stick your HOT poker in it and out comes a plastic handled poker - O'level stuff - thought you could have rigged something up!! |
