Associated with computer based map systems like MS AutoRoute, InfoMap Navigator (gives verbal directions, saves looking at the pc screen) Tom Tom (similar to InfoMap Nav but far more expensive)
POI's can be petrol stations, historic houses, castles, or what ever you want!
Computer based maps don’t always have to be associated with GPS (global Positioning Satellite), but it helps as it tell you exactly where you are to within say +/- 20 metres.
