Hi Dave,
Its a Vodaphone 3G/Gprs Data card that came with my laptop when i recently bought it second hand from a friend of a friend. The original sim was on a cancelled contract but id heard that a pay as you go sim would work.First i phoned Vodafone customer help line who were no use whatsoever,so i called into the Vodafone shop at Piccadilly station Manchester who sold me an 3G enabled pay as you go sim (after trying his hardest to contact me Rolling Eyes ) it will work in a phone as well and cost me £5.oo,the settings are to prefer 3G but enable Gprs to fall back on.Ill be taking a good look at website you posted in the morning, looks interesting Wink

Many Thanks,
Mark.

Mark,

It sounds like the fabled equivalent between extra text bundles and data, and that's why you're paying so much. You might be enjoying 3G speeds, but that's not much fun when each web page is clocking up the £.

In your situation I'd settle for GPRS speed at 80p per Mb and wait in hope of similar PAYG rates for 3G.

Dave
