So do you truly Qualify or did you manage to bend the rules a little?, Only if, falling from 120feet, breaking just about every bone in my body, liver failure, kidney failure,MRSA and twenty one operations to date count.

Think there are going to be a lot of disabled out there who don’t agree with your definition or whoever’s definition you are quoting.

I still think we are well off topic, perhaps a moderator will decide.

Hi Jim

No Jim none of them count according to the VAT definition as contained in , so one is led to wonder how you managed to get the motorhome VAT free.

Unfortunately you apear to owe the HMCR some VAT back according to VAT notice 701/59

Whose definition of disabled do you use Jim?, they appear to be illnesses and broken bones.

Why do you start on a subject, then try to get it judged off topic when you cannot support your own view logically.

You keep playing the disabled card, but dont want it questioned.

I said, I qualified, but I didn’t take up the offer, after all I already had a motorhome at the time of my accidient.

No problem George, just trying to to get an apology from you for yesterdays remark, don’t suppose I will !!

Hi Jim

I have said nothing to you that requires an apology.

Jim you qualified? and didnt take it up? so you filled out all the paperwork to qualify and then turned it down, that sounds just a tad implausable.

Would you be happy to PM me your verifiable full name and address, so I can check that out? Somehow I expect you will not want me to do that.

George, you are quite clever and manipulative I must admit, by virtually accusing me of fraud and then asking for my name and address so as you can check up on me which you know full well I will not give you, you would have the followers of this topic believing I am guilty by my non conformity to your request.
All of this is about your inability to apologise to a disabled person for your remarks yesterday “playing that old disabled card won’t get a sympathy here” is not an accusation that many disabled would be able to handle, but that does not apply to me.
I suggested yesterday with your wide knowledge of the regulations regarding A frames it could be put to good use in trying to get regulations amended for the benefit of the disabled and others, the above reply was totally unwarranted.
I do not need to qualify myself to you, however for the benefit of the followers of this thread I will.
After my release from hospital I was transferred to a Rehabilitation Unit, it was here that my needs were assessed, I was told I qualified for a VAT rebate if I bought a new vehicle, I did not need a new motorhome, however I do accept the road tax rebate.
Frankly George I’m finding corresponding with you time consuming and boring now, I have no doubt you will want the last word and if it’s not too abrasive you can have it.

George,I have watched this thread & to be honest I & many other MHF members find your comments sickening. You are, I must admit very well read & on occasions make some very good points. However on the whole I find you quite obnoxious.I,& many people will agree when I say please crawl back down the hole you re-emerged from.

Hi GuzzJim

Resorting to making things up now?

I have never said

playing that old disabled card won’t get a sympathy here

Now you are saying

"the above reply was totally unwarranted."

I did say

Please dont try playing the disabled card on me, it changes nothing, all the facts remain the same, I am not going to say ah Bless thats alright then, what exactly did you hope to achieve by telling me you are less abled? I cannot see the relevance at all.

to which you replied

I don't normally wish my disability on anybody but-----------. but I think your latest remarks prove you are an unsympathetic *******

Here is a Doozy

All of this is about your inability to apologise to a disabled person for your remarks yesterday

What the hell as any claimed disability got to do with it? even if I owed you an apology which I do not.

You bought all of this up Jim, you painted yourself into a corner not me. I tell you what Jim just give me the reg number (I'll Just verify that it is real) then if I pass this with a copy of your ailments to the VAT office they will soon clear it all up, Damn I just realised I dont even need the reg number, after all how many Autocruise Wentworth's can there be on the Customs database that have claimed VAT Free purchases first Name Jim or James..

Are you happy for me to check? I would not like to drop you in it

I don't know the history between Jim and George, I am fortunate not to be able to benefit from VAT free purchases due to my good health. Just let it drop guys, surely motorhoming is all about getting the best out of life and enjoying each others good company.
Come on now shake hands Smile
