While many were doing it properly, at Peterboro, I had one last shot at getting my head round buying a camper van. (Decided not to!)
There must be something magic or unfathomable about the VW Camper van. Some must wallow in memories, it must suit many down to the ground but the one thing I can't get my head round is the pricing!
I was up to my arm pits in VW buses at Oswestry. (I can recommend the show, as an eye opener & center of variety n the VW camper van world.
The prices seem to me to be incomprehensable. There are lots of Split screen Type ones, bringing silly money for a slow crudish vehicle that tends to rust very well. There is a "Bay window" Type 2 which is very similar & a T25 type 3 that is more efficient, slightly bigger and rusts just as quickly.
The mystery is how you price one. There did not seem to be any consistency that the untrained eye could grasp. Ģ2600 for a really nice T25, Ģ3600 for a poorly painted rust bucket type 2, Ģ12600 for a very nice Type 1, plus this staggeringly priced type 2
Ģ29000 plus! Mint but still a camper van!
I know its me and probably a lack of knowledge, I left shaking my head and realising that someone out there is in love with VW and they use a divining rod to arrive at a price.
MH pricing, BTW, seems a lot clearer!

My immediate thought was you are a wizard with Photoshop.
The second thought was how much did you pay them to hang that sign for a silly picture
My third thought was its a trick picture and we have to spot the errors?
I noticed 3
1) the price
2) no way was that registered in Sep 2005 (registration number WX55 AFE)
3) No rust spots?
Are there any other deliberate errors in this picture

It was a mint Danbury. No photoshop, no tricks just a confused Drummer.
Be honest, what should it have read? Its not collectable, it was very plain but just excelent condition.

I'm with you Drummer Mate, I cant get my head round why people will pay such silly money for outdated, sardine tin rust buckets.
My Brother had one, (not camper type) nothing but trouble, and rusted like hell.
Ģ29.000 for that!!..........must be bonkers!

This looks like a rather large collection of boogie buses in one place!
