Hi just got back from the CC site "Abbey Wood" very nice site about 10 mins. from Abbey Wood station, ideal for visiting London.

Arrived there this morning about 1am this was all to do with the confusion over the newbury tickets, (not going to bore you with the details)

Very large late night arrivals spot, all hard standing, drove over this morning at 9.30 to reception, very friendly wardens, they can take any size of RV, £14.00 for the night, very high security site, electric fence all round and cameras, not sure if the fence is to keep bad guys out or us in Laughing

Nice site set in amongst trees, usual CC high standard toilets ect.

After 9.30 you can buy a travel card at the station £5.40 for all day travel on trains, buses and u/ground excellent value.

When I enquired late last night about a return from ipswich to liverpool street for today it was £96.00 each Shocked Shocked absolute rip off Evil or Very Mad

So we drove up in the RV 120 litres of LPG at 40p per litre 14.00 to stay on the site and £10.80 for two travel cards. £72.80 bargain

And I got breakfast in bed Wink

Olley

Cor, there is every chance I might not be able to make Newbury due to work commitments but I would feel terrible now after that dedication.

Might also email British Rail suggesting a fleet of Motorhomes as a cost saving exercise.

Well done Olley, hope the customers appreciate the new prongs
