Recently discovered that the best thing about living 'over here' as opposed to living 'over there' Very Happy , is that I can insure my van for a fraction of the cost by going to Dublin brokers Surprised . Makes a change from being told by mainland companies, "sorry not available in N. Ireland" Razz

Yes you seem to have had a problem for years, yet my personal experience both with the car on business or the van on holiday is they are safer in Ireland than they are here.

Hi, I live in Co Armagh and have just purchased a Transit Camper and am finding it difficult to get insurance at a resoable price. Would you mind telling me where you got yours?

I have been offered quote from a Portadown brokers for £348.00. The broker says that the company overseeing the insurance are from Dublin and they won't issue cover notes for campervans. This means that I must pay for the cover up front then wait a couple of weeks until the full policy arrives before I can drive the van.

cheers
