We have recently carried out research on insurance for our La Strada Mercedes Van Conversion. Take a look at Safeguard insurance - very competative and offers much more than Saga and some others in terms of cover abroad etc.
We have now taken out our insurance with them - so no horror stories please!!! |

(Cue sucking of air through teeth sounds and a world weary slow shaking of the head ......)
Surely there's a cooling-off period get-out clause?
Dave
Edit - Enjoy tomorrow! Who's the dealer? You don't have to go far from home for a nice campsite, that's for sure. I don't know how much of a beekeeper "net" there is, but I have a friend named Galliver in Odiham that knows his stuff! |

Safeguard is fine. Check out any of the threads on MHF that quote them. This is one:
http://www.motorhomefacts.com/ftopic-4747-0-days0-orderasc-.html
and if you look at my posts on the first page, you can see I am still a bit puzzled why the premium is as high as it is. At first glance, your situation should be similar to mine (van value, geographical, etc.) so I wonder what you think.

Every year when our insurance is due I call a few companies for quotes but so far no one has beaten Safegaurd on value for money. Their inclusive European breakdown cover clinches it for me.

| Phoned quite a few insurers over last couple of days to insure my new motorhome ( Swift Kontiki ) , Safeguard were by far the cheapest and also included breakdown cover. |

Phew!
I opened this post with some trepidation - Oh no, I thought, what horror awaits me?.
Thank fully, it looks as though we chose the right company. Although I don't think I'll read any further replies, just in case |

OH NO NO WHY didn't you read the posts before ?? shock horror ??
No really we are insured with them and we couldn't find a better quote with the same cover, would recommend them to anyone ? and i think on one of the posts earlier someone had received a disscount for being a member of MHF, but even without any disscount they seemed very good, i think you made a very good choice ?
QE2 have you replaced your RV with a Kon-Tiki
