I have a Teleco Magisat Plus CI (analoge and digital) and a motorized 80cm disc. It worked excellent for 2 years.
Since a couple of months, all analoge and digital channels are working only on Astra 19E
I thinks, a lot of settings in de channel list are incorrect. When I select channel 401 the disk goes to Astra 19E,and all works oke. When I select 402 (astra28E), or 403 (Hotbird17E), the disk moves a few moments and replies with "No satellite found". When i reselect 401 (Astra19E) all works again correctly on this satellite.
Questions:
1. Is there a way to set all analoge channels to the factory settings?
2. What settings must be used to move the disk to Hotbird 13E, to Astra 28E ec.
3. How cann I programm the receiver with the correct data of a new satellite?

Try this site they say they are there to help it is the only one i can find at the moment.
Have you got the manual? As it normally states in there how to reset to factory settings

Steve, Thanks for your quick reply.
On the Italian site orobicacamper I could not find an answer.

By the way, I do have the orginal German manual and the Dutch version. These manuals are not up to date, do not explain anything about factory settings and are just good enough to install, connect and power on the unit.

I have searched and only found them sites.
Try using some of the Dutch key words for searching
Teleco Magisat in Dutch or German if it is different. Apologies I only know English so I am very limited to help you.
Try
http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Teleco+Magisat&hl=en&lr=&filter=0
As some do not translate I am not sure if any good.
Put a post on a satellite forum and I am sure they will help.
see
http://www.satellites.co.uk/php-bin/forum/
You may have to join but it would be worth it
or
http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=satellite+forum&btnG=Search&meta=
and choose one.
good luck pm me if you get it sorted

Steve

Hello,
From the commercial people of the telecogroup, I got an answer for this problem.

Very Happy JeanuitB

Changing the search criteria for the HotBird 13 E satellite (MagicSat 2002A and MagicSat Digital Plus CI)

Following up the changes which were recently made on the HotBird 13E satellite by some broadcasters, the MAGICSAT automatic search system cannot detect the above-mentioned satellite. Thanks to the possibility of reprogramming the search table, its automatic operation can be restored. Proceed as follows to change the search parameters:

1- Press the red key on the remote control to turn on the MAGICSAT; as soon as the antenna starts moving, stop the operation via the RECALL or STOP key.
2- After the words “SEARCH ABORTED” have disappeared from the screen, press the MENU key on the remote control. Select the item ‘Protected menus’ and, the cursor being on this item, key in the key ‘8’ (code 8888) 4 times.
3- After keying in the code, the ‘MAGICSAT’ menu should appear. From this menu, select the second item ‘Search criteria’ and press the MENU button.
4- Select the item ‘Sat name.’ and enter the name of the satellite to be changed – i.e. ‘EUTEL13E’ – via the green right and left keys.
5- Enter the new parameters according to the table (n.d. -> not significant) :

Criteria Freq. Polar. Signal Mode
1 11322 V YES Analog
2 10729 V NO Analog
3 n.d. V --- Analog
4 n.d. V --- Analog
5 n.d. V --- Analog

1- Move the cursor to the item ‘MagicSAT MENU’ and press the MENU key.
2- Move the cursor to the item ‘Main MENU.’ and press the MENU key.
3- Move the cursor to the item ‘Exit MENU’ and press the MENU key.

The MAGICSAT system is now updated.

Changing the search criteria for ASTRA 28E SE

Also the Astra satellite has recently had some changes. Use the instructions below also for the ASTRA satellite with the following criteria.

1. Press the red key on the remote control to turn on the MAGICSAT; as soon as the antenna starts moving, stop the operation via the RECALL or STOP key.
2. After the words “SEARCH ABORTED” have disappeared from the screen, press the MENU key on the remote control. Select the item ‘Protected menus’ and, the cursor being on this item, key in the key ‘8’ (code 8888) 4 times.
3. After keying in the code, the ‘MAGICSAT’ menu should appear. From this menu, select the second item ‘Search criteria’ and press the MENU button.
4. Select the item ‘Sat name.’ and enter the name of the satellite to be changed – i.e. ASTRA 28E – via the green right and left keys.
5. Enter the new parameters according to the table (n.d. -> not significant) :

Criteria Freq. Polar. Signal Mode
1 12129 V YES digital
2 10729 V NO Analog
3 11322 V NO Analog
4 12188 H YES digital
5 n.d. V --- Analog

1. Move the cursor to the item ‘MagicSAT MENU’ and press the MENU key.
2. Move the cursor to the item ‘Main MENU.’ and press the MENU key.
3. Move the cursor to the item ‘Exit MENU’ and press the MENU key.

The MAGICSAT system is now updated.

Hi,
I also have a Telco MagicSat 2002A already fitted on a motorhome we have just bought, with the 85cm dish. I can get euro sport and a few other channels but the only part of the menu system I can access is the program list.
The arrow moves up and down to each item but pressing Menu does nothing.
I need to get passed this hurdle and change the language to English so I can understand things to then tune to other satellites and get my sky box working with it.
Does anybody have any ideas? Is there a reboot or something? Can the internal software be upgraded by satellite as with the sky box?
Thanks for any help.
Steve

Steve,
I suppose you have the users guide of your Magicsat 2002A, If not, you can download this from the internet.
I think I can help you solving your probleme.
Unfortunatly, my motorhome is NOT parked in my backyard, but 20 Km's away, (including all my sat doc's)
I think, your system is in "protected mode". Change this mode from ON to OFF. Than you can easely change the language. After this change, it is not that difficult to set the whole system, channels, satelites to your personal requirements.
In what language is the system now?
This weekend, I will use my motorhome, so next week I do have all my documentations at home, and can help you (if you still have troubles).
Best regards Jean Davidts

Thanks JeanuitB,
No I don't have the handbook, the motorhome is new to me and it is set in the French language. So I do not know how to get it out of protected mode. It does say "Oui" next to protected mode so you are obviously correct and I await the solution when you go out in your motorhome. I have not found anywhere to download instructions so if you can help here as well I will be very grateful. Have a good weekend and I wait expectantly.

Steve,
Switch on the system, go with the up down buttons on the remote control to protected mode ( it is set to QUI, means YES in English)
push 4 times the 0 button, 4 times the 8 or 4 times the 4 button.
(The password to change the protected mode is 4444, 0000 or 8888, I do not remenber exactly)
Than you may set the protected mode from QUI to NON (Yes to NO) wtih the left - right button.
After changing this protected mode, You may change much more options (Language etc).
Goodluck, next week when I do have my docs, I can guide you further if needed.

Best regards, Jean Davidts
