I looked at this option but preferred to stick with Vodafone (Passport) and the Italian SIM.

I had a quick look at that rapide as Im on a UK vodaphone contract at the moment (until I leave) but I just presumed that when people called me abroad they would do that goold ol' double charge scnario where the person receiving the call gets billed as well as the person making it?? Not sure if this is the case though? I'm happy with the prices that sim4travel have got for the time being, until some genius company comes up with a full euro roaming unlimited voice and data package with no limits and full broadband speed then Ill have to settle for this!!

I'm looking for a roaming sim also .. has anyone seen this one ?
It looks cheaper than any of the others to buy and has no expiry time or use limit .. no incoming call charges on many countries and 27p/min call charge in most of EU

That one seems the cheapest Jim. Calls and texts are cheaper than the other two. Anybody know of one even cheaper before I commit. Our mobile companys really have to get their act together on charging else they are going to lose masses of business. Three are already kicking them where it hurts. One of my three contracts that I use for business cost me in total £8-99 a month on a twelve month contract for 500 minutes. ( 1.8p minute anytime any network) This involves cashbacks but to get this with no worries and hassles I always use Carphone warehouse express which is their internet based company. I never use Three themselves, too expensive. With carphone there are none of the hassles claiming your cash backs like there are with some of the cheapjack companies who advertise in the red top dailies.
P.S. If you follow Carphone warehouse expresses website regularly you will occasionally find one of their special promo deals That gives you a twelve month contract with 500 minutes on three totally free. Amazing but true. You just have to put up with a recon phone instead of a new one but nothing to stop you putting the sim in a phone you already own You have to act quick though.

Hey Billy that one seems cheaper than the others. You have to read everything very carefully. The others dont mention that it costs the uk number 47p to call you, using their card its 12p. All they mention is it doesnt cost you anything on your mobile to receive the call. You also need to buy the International roamer card not a country specific one I think. Using the International one if you use it in the uk to call uk its only 10p min. All needs reading very carefully. They warn you not to dial premium rate numbers on it, they are likely to cost you £18 min
anybody else got one cheaper?

Just off the phone to Vodaphone, and am now thinking of keeping up my Vodaphone contract. They are offering to put on Vodaphone passport, and vodaphone stop the clock (first 3 minutes of each call comes off your tarriff minutes and the rest are free. 7pm - 8am Mon -Fri and 7pm Fri - 8am Mon. You still get charged the 75p connection fee though. I am assured by Vodaphone guy that it is valid from calls made from Europe). Now trying to work out if it is worth it as opposed to my 2 new sims from sim4travel. .....

It looks better value and we have used it and it works.
Merely enquiring if you can receive a call from a BT landline . I have subscribed and I can call from skype, mobile, but not from my BT landline .My cousin in France can call me, but if I cannot receive call from Britain it defeats the purpose of having one number.Cairngorm
