I'm sure you're safe - no one would steal your idea Wink

The sort of thing you mean is used on spare wheel covers:

Maybe there's a legal issue here - having a rotating image might be distracting for other road users?

And, or course, you need to cover the whole tyre, but you can't do that because it's a bit flat at the bottom where it contacts with the road. But you can't make it a smaller diameter than the tyre ....

Maybe you could make opaque rubber wheel covers, which will flex with the tyre as it rotates ...

My head's starting to hurt now Sad

the tyres on my van are 5 years old. There is loads of tread left on them but there is some serious cracking on the sidewalls, so I am getting them all replaced.

I guess if you used these covers the cracks might be reduced.... but if they were five years old with no cracks I would still replace them anyway.

Surely the most common cause of damage to the tyre walls in motorhomes and caravans is that the tyres remain in one position for a very long time and, as we are told, it is the continual flexing of the walls in normal use that keeps the tyres in good health.

How many of you lift the tyres off the ground when the motorhome is laid up for a long time?
