Hello all,

Just been reading a MH mag and seen a Qpod aptly named doodlebug by its MH owner.

I see there was a post on here recently but few replies.

Are there any Qpod owners in the forum? (

Are there any Secma Fun Tech Owners?
Are there any Disabled readers who have tried them?

I have been considering a tow car, we have any Audi A2 but as its 980kG would require a trailer for transport.

As My Wifes Mother is disabled I thought maybe we could make this a double use purchase..............

Anyone?

I thought they were intriguing until I sat in one. It's a knees to chin job whilst manoeuvring feet around, then if anyone else is sitting beside you, you both have to lean outwards

Errr, no thanks. Every mile would be a killer.

Thanks for the reply Dave, was only thinking of driving it from campsite to beach, shops trips out etc. Not down the RN's to the Med Coast!

I have had a Qpod for about two months, I towed it back to London from Cardiff on the back of my Benimar with no problem and I think it will be very useful for next years holidays. I have been using it for work for the last two weeks, my job involves travelling around the local area to different building sites and it has been ideal particularly when it comes to parking. I am 53yrs old, 16 stone, and 6'4' and I have no problem fitting in it or using it, with or without a passenger. That said I don't think it would be too good for someone with physical mobility problems. The big problem with the Qpod is the lack of info on it, the handbook is next to useless, and mine is a bit tricky to start so if any owners have any tips I would be pleased to get them.

Re Dizzieblondes question on tax, I am fairly sure mines Ģ160 but to be honest I can't be bothered to go outside and uncover it to look at the moment. It costs me Ģ130 insurance which is fully comp, full european cover, and business use, plus roadside recovery in UK or EU.

Tax not that much cheaper than my Seat Leon Cupra R but i cannot tow that behind the van.

Thought the tax would have been cheaper. Se La Vie

"I am 53yrs old, 16 stone, and 6'4' and I have no problem fitting in it or using it, with or without a passenger. "

I don't challenge what you say, but I am amazed. When I sat next to someone, we are both of smaller build than yourself, our shoulders touching forced us both to lean out. It was uncomfortable, and we were stationary .....
