We have been to Newbury,Dettling, looking, YORK in a hired benimar anthus, Malvern in our very own Autotrail scout, and Peterborough
Out of all of them, I think York, really wowed us, never seen so many motor homes all in one place, Peterborough, stalls good, but no loos or showers or rubbish collection near us, just one very loud and one not quite so loud jenny, but we had BRILL weather, and i was allowed to have my safari room at last (now named The Little house on the side) met some great peeps, and mr roasty, cor what a lovely food stall, and it wasnt just a one of wonder, we went back the next day and had a roast dinner in a yorkshire pud, yummy, and the A 1 was amazin, forgot what an empty road looks like. We're off to Newbury with a van this time, yippee Laughing

Hi All

can I suggest that in order to recognise each other at Newbury we print out the excellent logo from this site and display on the windsreen.
This is our first show and we would love to meet up with as many of the members as possible.

Hi

we are coming up tomorrow & probably on Satutday as well. We are coming by car as we are only an hour & half or so away.

We went to the NEC in February. I had both the Mlist & MFacts logo attached to my bag . No one recognised us & we saw no one else sporting either logo.

Never mind perhaps I will be luckier this time

Elizabeth.

HI, well we went and now we're back (just watched WEST Ham go thro yes!!!!!) Newbury, well weather was fantastic, met loads of people, florence and frank (irish) dilys and bob(welsh) lesley, dave and ann (laika- very interesting technical stuff , ken and audrey, who very kindly let me dance with her- then i just danced on my own, so if anybody saw a little plump blonde wiggling on the floor it was probaby me, i wore white jeans one night to! but not the night hubby walked through the mud hole (chuckle-good job i was ten paces behind chuckle hehehehehehehehehcos i did!) -little tip(for smelly shoes-another source- used tea bags, havent tried it yet , but gonna! Were surrounded by motor way, but because it was pretty much all the time, kinda drowned itself out, no noisy jennys near us, tho peeps we met over the back of us and one! near them that is, we had a poor little dog, shut in a GRANDUCA for hours on end, just lookin for his peeps to come back, NOT NICE!!!! Rolling Eyes over three days as well. I got a cute little bottle and attached bowl for my dog, Laughing (at home with two friends) a can spout that goes over where the ring pull comes off (havent tried it yet, but it looked interesting. Very Happy Talked to peeps about sat/tv, sat/nav and bbq, we could have spent about £1800 but didnt, Very Happy quite liked the idea of sat/nav, i have to turn the map upside down Confused (Navigation - not one of my many gifts- but i can ask people when we get lost, so nrrrr! The electrics (thurs entertainment-brilliant!!! fri country and western band, not bad, union gap (second singer had a really good voice, sat £6,50 bee gee copy band, reckon they had a barney before they went on, if you closed your eyes- they sounded quite good, if you watched them, they didnt want to be there, well that s what it felt like. jimmy cricket, not really our scene, but he really made the old ladies Very Happy giggle, he was clean and funny, but the DAKOTAS Cool were brilliant (i was tired and could have gone home -but they were really worth watching. Not really a tremendous amount of accessories there, but - it was a really nice weekend we went thurs to sun, (talked to quite a few that had travelled abroad-sigh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) watch this space. Laughing There were 900 pre booked vans, but sat they were streaming in, we reckon over 2 thousand, it was worth going, although the food out lets were abit disappointing Mad -nothing when the entertainment finished except thurs eve Confused i think, and mr roasty wasnt there (if you havent tried his beef bap, Smile or yorkshire roast dinner- DO! Its yum. Ah, we met and talked to another scout owner, and have now discarded our dining room table, (gonna get a half size or round one, and cos we have "Little House On The Side now, we left the bed up the last night, and will keep it made up, while we are away, it really opened up the space, can't think why i didnt think of it before doh! Embarassed we're lookin at goint to west hayes lyme regis 11.6 cos its £5 night mon to fri, elec hook up-leave room for us,
it was great meeting all the different peeps, ho hi gary and sam in you iveco home build, did you have a good time in the new forest. well i will let you go to sleep now, so bye, hmmm what show next? Cool

It looks like York is gonna be the next BIG show, is it then not possible to get some sort of Forum flag,Screen Sticker or whatever printed up, purchased by members and then displayed at such a meet?
That way we can be all instantly recognisable to each other, and if we are big enough could we not get our own rallying area?
Your comments welcome Regards Dave.

Hi Raine
Sorry we missed you at Newbury. We were at the show from Thur thro Mon and failed to find you or anyone with a site logo displayed Crying or Very sad We walked all around the site looking but to no avail.
We had our's displayed clearly in the windscreen but it's such a large site to search it's no surprise we went unnoticed.

It dawned on me that it would be better if the site had it's own area as all the other small clubs do.
I don't know how much or how difficult this would be to organise..

Wadda ya all think?

Very Happy Sounds a good idea to me, We hope to make the York show this year for the first time (something has always cropped up on those dates before), and it would be nice if we could get together in our own group.

I suppose we'll have to move fast now if we want to give the organisers sufficient notice.
