Beware of the calais aire on the front quay side. We were there yesterday and our motorhome now has a lovely dent in it from children throwing stones at the motorhomes from the municipal site next door. There have been a few incidents lately so may be a good idea to park on the terminal or the large site by the marina.

Putties, sorry to hear about your problem, so frustrating when people dont care about others property.

Last year on Bastille day a local french chap that was walking around the aire got a bottle thrown at him, again some kids up on the municipal site.
Touch wood we have not had any problems when parked here, only thing this year was some "waste" and given the substantial size of it I can only assume it was human, this was deposited at the rear of my in laws van parked beside us.
Not very nice for the kids to walk out and see but never mind, they came round and cleaned it up quick enough.
Did notice plenty of kids hanging around at the railings at the top and was a bit concerned myself at the time.

The incident at the aire at calais was not a one off we were there on saturday and several motor homes were hit by thrown stones from the camp site,the non english speaking french police, who looked blank at my french did not seem interested after we found the police station.It was a bad end to a great hoilday touring round north brittany.
