Very good link.

In layman terms how does it work.
Do you have to ask as it is free?
Who pays for it?
Is it safe.

Its just a bit of software that can tell you where the hotspots are
you can choose to search for free or pay hotspots in a location
i would guess you can then connect to the free ones

as i said have just dowloaded it myself so havnt tried it out yet

I got a hotspot finder from Kensington about £15 whcih fits on your keychange. Press a button and it finds unsecured sites and also bluetooth and tells you the signal strength ( 1 - 5). Good fun because if you find someone who has shared his printer you can send a messsage to it and I would love to see their faces when the paper comes out with Hi, many thanks for the use of your broadband.

Pusser,

Can you let me have the details, I need something small like that to look for hotspots while away,

It's a lot easier than walking about with your laptop looking for a wifi connection.

Thanks

Don
