Hi guys

Any further developments from the above. We have a Hymer B584 which has the Oyster system fitted by a previous owner by Transleisure.

We hope to part exchange the van late in 2007 and have been told that the price we'll get from a dealer will not take into consideration the fact that we have an Oyster fitted nor indeed a 100W solar panel.

We woud like to have these removed and re-fitted to the van when we get it.

Is it easy to remove these items and, once removed, how big will the holes be that are left in the roof.

Secondly, how much would a fitter charge to replace the items onto a new van.

Thirdly, are we correct in thinking that removing them will not affect greatly the part exchange value of the van. We deduce this from the fact that several years ago we got a price for our part exchange van and the dealer didn't even want to see it.

Thanks in advance folks and... MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL Very Happy

If you don't take em off, the dealer probebly will and sell em on ebay. Laughing

If they said the extra's arn't taken into consideration, then take em off!

Hi Brimo

I think I would either make it a condition of the sale that the dealer transfers the equipment from one van to another

or

give transleisure a call and arrange for them to remove it from the old van and then take the new van to them for refitting

Artona,

Asking the dealer to transfer is a good idea. I wonder how many would do it but its got to be worth a shot. Very Happy

Hi Brimo

Oaktree wee going to do it for us. We nearly changed our Euromobul 810 for a Hymer. Oaktree agreed to take our aircon unit off the roof and fit it to the hymer.

I wonder if they would have a problem with technical stuff like a big solar panel or an Oyster.

Hi

You can only ask. But negotiate the prices for the vans first and then throw the change in Very Happy
