Course if you were from the travelling community youd have a little wood burner installed one end with a chimmney poking out the roof. Woods free, for them anyways.

We have just started fulltiming and should have been on our way down to spain for the winter. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control we have got to evict tenants from one of our houses so we are going to spend our winter in Canterbury at a camping and caravan club site. We have booked a winter hardstanding pitch from 30th Oct until end of march 2007. £595 with electric hookup. We have found the heating in our van a bit to hot at the moment so have bought two small heaters. The first one is a 400/800 watt halogen heater which we use in the safari room which keeps it warm during the evening. The second one is a small 700 watt oil filled rad which we use in the van this works wery well at the moment and does not trip the 10 amp supply so fridge tv lights and battery charging is still all working. I hope i can put up with our english winter living in a van as i do not like the cold, Ann thinks this is a better way to get use to fulltiming than just running off to the sun.

Do you not need to know where you can get bobble hats and bedsocks?
Chris[/quote]
Thanks for the kind offer Chris. Already have a bobble hat, a leftover from my ski-ing days. Bedsocks not needed yet as my circulatory system is sponsored by a famous grouse.
Thanks for your reply, as mentioned earlier will see what's up at the NEC this weekend before buying.
Cheers.
Dai.

I had a camper with a woodburner and it was FANTASTIC, my pleasure to get up on a freezing winters morning at the London Boat Show, pull the porta potti out of the bathroom and sit before the blazing logs drinking a cup of tea, luxury start to the day or what?
AND NEVER EVER leave a fan heater unattended, AND if you have one go and spend £19 at B&Q on an oil filled one and DON'T DO IT AGAIN. Naughty naughty, slap on bum!! (Can't remember who to, but you know who you are).
