(sorry for cross posting)

i found a really good online map if anybody is interested...

http://www.it.map24.com/

if you click on language/change you can turn it to english so you can use it /get your head round it... but do go back to the italian version ... (this feature only seems to be working in the italian version for me not in english one???) once you have entered your start and end destinations and calculated your route... you should see a little graph appear at the bottom of the map with a |> play type symbol on it ... click on it and it will show you/ run through a 3D version of the route which you can scroll through... showing you elevation, etc etc do try it i was quite impressed...

Never been here before
I´m intrigued, I´m unsure
I´m searching for more
I´ve got something that´s all mine
I´ve got something that´s all mine
Take me somewhere I can breathe
I´ve got so much to see
This is where I want to be
In a place I can call mine
In a place I can call mine

I changed the language to English UK but there are still some very big words. Sad

Just to advise you can access the UK side of this by simply replacing the It in the address line with UK.

Also you could try www.mappy.com has options for vehicle type, motorways, A roads etc also it gives the cost of motorway tolls which was useful. We used it to plan a trip down to Italy and it was spot on.

I have visited and subscribed to the site after finding that the satellite facility was better than Google Earth.

In GE my estate is one of the areas that is very blurred but on Map24 I could even see a large white table on our rear patio Shocked Shocked
