On my Mac iBook, I have a font called "Chalkboard". It's a lovely little font, and I created some beautiful MHF-related stuff when I was away.
Now, I don't have a printer connected to the iBook (and the only printer I have at home is not on the MAC-approved list ), but when I email the docs to my PC, I can't get the thing to look right - I don't have the font on PC.
Does anyone have Chalkboard font on Windows XP? Look in C:\Windows\Fonts. I have 350 of the damned things, but not Chalkboard, and I've looked a little bit on the web, but only found some stuff which wasn't the same. It's a bit like Comic Sans, but not.

I agree with you about chalkboard, its my default font for email and I often use it in word. Apple created chalkboard in 2003 as a alternative to comic sans (and then also bundled comic sans). It is a true type .ttf which of course is an apple invention. I have tried twenty or thirty free font suppliers only to find that its not available for free download.
I reckon its worth getting an iMac just for the fonts this is in courier new -just for old times sake
BTW Congrats on mod status

Yup, Ariel's the one. Mandated at work and, for once, a wise choice.
Mandated, I'm all for style guides but mandated! I was in an organisation that mandated Times New Roman I carried on using ariel and just kept on getting comments on how nice my reports looked. Meant they got read as well.

Our mandated font is Helvetica Neue, try to tell the difference with Swiss 721 or Ariel, the corporate police cannot tell unless you send Adobe PDF files which tell the recipient the fonts used!
