I myself would be interested in finding out about Sat Nav and having it explained to me.

Keep it simple and you can't go wrong.

Don - For a starter you could visit PocketGPSWorld FAQ. Having a basic understanding of the GPS system will help your understanding of how the various Sat Navs work.

Paul,

Thanks for the link.

I understand how the system works but I don't understand the terminology.

There is a thread on the Motorhome List at present on Tom Tom 6 I'm unable to follow it as the terminology used is way beyond me.

I need to sit down with somebody who is use to talking to the older generation about such subjects.

I took up computing six years ago when I was sixty seven and it's been a very steep learning curve.

I stick to the forums and the photo albums, I've got that sorted. In the photo competition I was unable to vote as I could not figure it out.

I'm happy in my own little world, I think.

Don ! How anyone with your breadth of experience can talk about their own little world ....!!

I guess you'll be too busy at any meet passing on your unrivalled knowledge of routes, stopovers, customs, currency etc etc etc to find time to learn about SatNav.

If there's anything you want to ask by PM, by all means. Or if you want my email address, we can do it that way too if you like Wink
