The Batteries are charged and the musicbus is about to hit the road on thursday north to caithness and the highlands and then south to west coast france via berlin and prague. I am going to buy a generator this week to further improve life in the wildcamping lane and on the passion france sites. Thinking about the honda eu10. Met some dutch folk last year in Spain who had one. They padlocked it to their steps at night
Any thoughts experiences or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
cheers
Barry

Yo Bazza, you lucky barsteward . . . your off on your travels. I don't know nuttin' about generators apart from us loaning an American RV from some English friends and taking it to France. It came with a generator . . . we only powered it up once . . . the looks from other vanners, killed us. We never used it again . . . don't think other people like them, too noisy. Have a fabulous time we (on the forums) will be thinking of you with envy . . . have a great time and stay safe. Cheers, Jeffus (and boss).

Do a search on 'generators' for previous posts, think you'll find the general concensus is theyre not popular amongst motorhomers because of the noise they 'generate', also quite expensive too.
Far more cost effective would be to upgrade your 12volt system and add another battery in paralell or purchase a higher amp/hr battery. It's suprising how little power you can get by on, and if you are moving regularly the engine will keep them topped up.
Hi musicbus, I have the same generator and it is very quite when running,
just be carefull when running it ie. time of day and proximity of other people etc.
I use it as a lifeline in case of flat batteries, also they are used a lot on the continent , have a great holliday
