Since I've installed IE 7 on my Dell laptop I've been unable to save Via Michelin routes to My Docs. The page appears to save and when I try and open the file? I get

page. There are no instructions there for IE 7

I don't understand it as it's only Via Michelin that is effected.

Any help as always will be most welcome.

Don

Hi, chaps

Can't check for certain right now, but in advance of someone who has it in front of them, can you check the "security level" - in IE6, there's a horizontal slider to reduce security level, which changes how cookies are stored. You might also be able to set it to accept all cookies from the ViaMichelin site specifically.

Sorry I can't check it now, and give you more specific instructions.

Have you checked IE7 help? Look for cookies and / or security?

Gerald

I think you will find that cookies are a function of privacy levels not security.
Don, from a quick look the instructions on that page for IE6 should equally apply to IE7.

You could included Michelin as one of your "trusted sites" personally I wouldn't but that is probably me being over cautious.

FYI some of the banks are reporting internet customers as having problems using IE7 to access their systems. It looks to me as though there are far more security/privacy options in IE7 and if you don't have them set right then you will have problems.

Hi Don & Bob,

Go to control panel/Internet options/privacy on privacy select “sites” enter the address of the sites you want to allow…click allow and then ok.

Don & Bob,

I wrote "won't to allow" instead of "want to allow" in my thread above. I have changed it now but thought I would highlight this, in case I confused you.

Strange one that Don,

I'm using IE7...

I've just been into my viamichelin account and it let me add and view a new route and lets me see previously entered routes without a problem.

In 'internet options'...

My security tab is set to 'medium-high' and viamichelin is not on my list of 'trusted' sites in the big green tick option.

On my privay tab I have the slider set to 'medium' and I don't have viamichelin listed in the 'sites' option Rob mentions.

Hope that helps cancel out a few possibilities.

pete
