Last night's watchdog had a story on a company doing this kind of deal, people were supposed to pay and then claim back their rental every few months, no one got anything back and the company has now gone into liquidation....

I'm not recommending this company only passing on the offer.

For those interested these 12month free / 12 month contracts do work and they are 100% safe provided you use a reputable company. I do it quite regularly because we need and use several phones in our business. I wont use any other company other than CARPHONE WAREHOUSE. and look for deal of the day or clearance items. You have to watch this website and pounce when the best deal comes up. These deals are so popular they only sit on the website for a few hours or so.
For instance todays deal is a Motorola L6 free on O2 with 400 cross network minutes for 11 months @ 99p + 1 month at £35. After you get your cashbacks back you only effectivly pay £4 something a month. Whilst this is a good deal I wouldnt take it until they offered it totally free. I managed to jump in about a month ago and got 2 of them for the business totally free. Dont know how they make it pay. I think its down to the fact that they agree to take so many each month and just have to clear them at any cost.
It does work, the cashbacks do come back but from my experience dont trust any company you havent heard of.

Boots often have mobile phone deals on the go - you might pay £360 pounds per year on rental and then you get that value back in Boots points.
Boots points are easy to redemm of flog on ebay.
