Hi,

We have just bought the new Tom Tom One Western Europe GPS and need a little help

We have been using a PDA with Tom Tom 5 which works very well in the UK and France. (We haven't been anywhere else.)

When using Tom Tom 5 we had to delete the last route before setting a new one. On the Tom Tom One Western Europe this option does not seem to exist.
Do you just enter the new route?

Also, when closing down, do you just switch off?
Thanks, Anna

Hi Anna on another topic what do you think of the new Tom Tom 1? the wife was thinking of treating me for Xmas. I am particularly interested in what the Western Europe maps are like. Are they street level?

Thanks Richard...

Hi Richard,

We only unpacked it today and are still evaluating it. So far it it has all the features of my Tom Tom 5 and more.

It is slim and light
It is simple to use and the display is good.
The voice is clear.
The maps are said to be street level.
All I could do to test was to pick 2 destinations and plan routes.
First was a street in Paris, no problem; I think it even showed the one way system.
Secondly, I picked a resturant in Cordoba from a spanish website as a destinationand then checked the route and display; it was at street level.

We bought ours from the internet for £240, including maps.

Downside

No mains charger or carrying case but these can be obtained for less than £20.

THat's a great price! As I said on anmother thread I've just downloaded the new maps for my 700 at 50 odd quid. They are already on the new TT1. Almost worth selling my TTG700 and getting the TT!
