Thanks for your reply - yes the heating was on, but the condensation was there before we even went to bed as when we pulled out the seating the walls were cold & damp, and our children who were in the bed over the cabin also had condensation.

The tap was also open full.

I think it may be a call to the dealers tomorrow!!

When we had our last caravan we used to leave the windows open on their ventilation setting. This usually stopped most if not all condensation.

Try it may help.

Just a thought. If you have only just got the van it could have been stood around for a while and we have had very long damp spell havent we. Motorhomes have many ventilation vents so lots of damp air has entered. Then you all go away for the first time and its cold & wet. On goes the heating. You are cooking and if on gas that causes more condensation. Then there is all the moisture we breathe out.

I would suggest you do open a window when you are heating a kettle & cooking especially if using gas

If you have a dehumidifier I suggest you put it in the van for a few days and you may be surprised at the amount of moisture it collects. We also use a heater set low if its very cold. We got one from B&Q. It was about £60 and does the job . Its not the very mini one that they have sold. When I go out to check the van tomorrow I will get the model details & post them for you.

Hi

Is the van with blown air heating or a heater in a fixed place?

A small fan heater would circulate warm air about, and might help.

As mentioned, external screen covers are just about essential at this time of year.

Try also to leave a roof light slightly ajar.

Russell
