We have never been across before April but there are a few sites in the Camping Cheques scheme. Also some municipals might be open.

Haven't had the courage to wild camp ( loads of spots along the Louire) and the few Aires we have looked at have lacked appeal.

Steve

Thats interesting how much would i have needed to spend to get £25 of Tesco vouchers as I don't shop there as a norm.

Hello there,

I guess it does not matter how often you shop so long as you make sure to collect your clubcard points when you do shop at Tesco or one of its partners. For example you can collect points if you use Powergen for your domestic fuel bills.

So if you only end up collecting a £5 voucher in a year its is worth 4 times that for Eurotunnel, P&O and Eurostar. All this in addition to lots of other tesco deals. Just google or ASK "tesco deals" for more information.

In answer to your qestion 1 ClubCard point for every £1 spent, 1 clubcard point =1p or 4p if you convert to a 4x deal.

So if you spend £100 at Tesco you get 100 Points this will get you a £1 Tesco Voucher, that is worth £4 in Eurotunnel Deals. £1000 Spent (easily done if you buy fuel there too!) is worth £40 in 4 x deals.

I think I am right anyway!

teemyob,
wow! I didn't know that, I should keep my Tesco voucher for ferry or tunnel use in the future not to redeem them on grocery again, I get about 80-100 points per week! thanks for the tip

Does anyone know when this deal is coming to an end?
I am planning on traveling to France twice next year and could do with saving some cash.

I have done all my crossings with Tesco vouchers over the last few years, its easy to do and I have never had any problems. The only thing you have to make sure of is that you don't exchange to higher value of coupons as they start at £10 giving you £40 worth of travel.

Say your fare is £107 it is better to change 2x £10 vouchers giving £80 worth of travel and pay the extra £27 by credit card as you dont get any change from under used vouchers. Save them for the next time when you can get the full value.

I hope that all makes sense. I never use mine for anything other than deals.

Hello there,

Nice to hear someone else shares my Tescology, yes I do the same round the vouchers up/down and pay the extra.

Such a good deal makes me wonder when it will end?

When you can cross by Tesctunnel, Tescferry, paying by TescoGas, TescoToll and so on.

Anyway the more that use it the better as far as I am concerned.

Just one thing to watch, I have only used them for P&O & Eurotunnel. P&O were dead upfront with thier prices and Schedule. Eurotunnel try to dictate your crossing time and inflate tghe prices over thie internet prices and times.

I would suggest that you book with Eurotuneel seconds after checking prices/availabilty ion thier site.

Best of luck Trev

I've just used £40 worth of deals to let enable us to afford the Hull - Zeebrugge return. Not a big reduction but with the deals used on the outward sailing and the CC discount used on the return I am feeling well chuffed Very Happy It saves us lots of fuel in this country and the boring run up the M40/M6 at the end of a holiday although we have to get to Zeebrugge from S W France. Now that's the sort of problem I like!

Be aware that if you want a one way ticket like I did with the deals then it has to be the one starting in UK. Not sure of the reasoning for this, but did not feel in a position to argue with them!
